[nggallery id=17 template=galleryview] This exhibition presents the work of three Armenian photographers who are considered to be the masters of portrait photography in Cairo from the 1940s to 1960.  In spite of their very different styles, all three worked under commission and placed a great deal of importance on providing a handmade touch to their artistic expression.  Their photos are testimonies of how modernisation took hold of Cairo’s society during a period that holds great historical importance
